by thd last week of the window we'll either be out the cup or in thd 5th rd if we're still in the cup and still in the hunt for Europe then I'd keep him if we're out and down in 9th or 10th then I'd sell and give a new player time to settle in

I'm only interested in players committed to the club, so I'd fuck him off in January.
Don't think he'll be that difficult to replace either, as he's not exactly world class is he.
He may be disappointed at the clubs in for him when he leaves and may also be disappointed when he's sitting in the bench if it is a big club.
Wish him well though, he's been a superb signing overall.

I think everyone realises it's not our money.
Most people have gone one step further than you though, and considered what the club could do with the £6m. Ie would it be better to sign a £10M centre half in January and sell Reid, or keep him for 6 months and potentially sign a £4m replacement in the summer.
